REPORT OF ACTIVITIES DURING 21 JANUARY 2014 – 20 FEBRUARY 2014


  1. In collaboration with our centre, nine public meetings were organised at different places/institutions in and around Kolkata on 21, 22, 31 January 2014 and 1, 5, 8, 10, 17 and 20 February 2014. The Secretary of the centre delivered lectures on various topics on Swamiji’s message in today’s context in all these meetings. Altogether 4,700 people comprising teachers, scholars, students, and general devotees attended these programmes.

  2. Our centre organised various programmes in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary at the centre’s premises during 21 January 2014 and 20 February 2014, which were attended by 4,800 people. The followings are the details of the programmes:a. A special talk on Swamiji was organised at our centre on 23 January 2014 to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. In all 800 people comprising, youths, devotees, distinguished guests attended the programme.b. Our centre in collaboration with a renowned cultural organisation of Kolkata organised a classical musical programme entitled ‘Dhrupad Mahotsav’ at its Thakur Dalan from 11 to 15 February 2014. A number of national level renowned vocalists and instrumentalists participated in the 5-day celebration and enthralled the audience of different categories. On an average 800 people every day (in total around 4000) including devotees, students, guests and invitees attended the programme.
